ABOUT THE COMMUNITY ADVISORY BOARD

The Community Advisory Board (CAB) is an integral part of BEAT AIDS, playing a central role in shaping the organization’s direction and impact. Composed of current and former clients, community members, people affected by HIV, and allies, the CAB brings invaluable lived experience to the table, ensuring that BEAT AIDS remains deeply connected to the community it serves. Meeting biweekly, the board offers critical feedback on community needs, advises on program development, and helps guide outreach and marketing strategies. Their insight keeps the organization grounded, relevant, and client-centered.
At each meeting, BEAT AIDS staff provide detailed reports to the CAB, fostering transparency and accountability across all levels of the organization. This regular exchange allows CAB members to evaluate ongoing programs, suggest improvements, and ensure services align with the evolving needs of the community.
Through this partnership, the CAB helps drive meaningful change and continuous improvement, making it a cornerstone of BEAT AIDS’ mission and success.
